Last Minute New Year's Eve Outfit Countdown

Did you wake up this morning and still have no clue what you are wearing to your New Year's Eve party? No worries! You are not alone, trust me! I have put together some ideas for different occasions with some basics you most likely already own. Boom.

Going to a House Party

Be comfy! Go with a pair of your favorite denim skinnies (I even like the coated denim for extra pizzaz). A simple lace top, a blazer and some booties. Dig through your jewelry box for statement earring or layer some bracelets for some sparkle. Voila!

                                                                   Cocktail Party

Most of us ladies have a sheath dress in our closet. Whether it is black, white, red, whatever! It will look amazing when accessorized. I'd go for a sparkly statement necklace and a strappy nude heel to make those legs look extra long and fabulous!

Little Less Traditional

Who says you have to wear a dress to a party? If you have a jumpsuit hanging out in your closet, pull that baby out! Throw on a leather jacket and set of heels and you are out the door in style.

SHORT on Time

Yes, for real. Pull those shorts out of the summer drawer. Add some tights, a heel, and that sequin shirt in the back of your closet and go grab a cocktail. You look smokin', girl!

Staying In

Not going anywhere? You can still look great and be insanely comfy in these sweet pjs!

To see what I am wearing for NYE and to follow a bit of my shennanigans follow me on instagram! The fiance, Dave, and his band The Innocence will be rockin' our town into 2015 with all of our best friends. I hope you all enjoy a fun and safe night! Cheers!!

Couples Shower!

Most of you know, Dave and I are getting married on March 14...which is coming up VERY quickly (73 days)! While we were home in Texas for Christmas my cousin and Maid of Honor, Brandee, threw us a lovely couples shower at Pilot Knob Vineyard which is also where the wedding will take place. It is a beautiful location with plenty of unsoiled scenery. Plus, super yummy wine! If you are in the greater Austin area or the Hill Country, I recommend checking them out :)

Of course there was champagne for mimosas (I LOVE champagne!). Also, love this table with the wine barrels. I am definitely going to incorporate that into the wedding decor.

Perfection. Gold glittered glasses! This isn't the last time you will see these babies.

Those who know me know I love a good cheese plate. It is my favorite part of a party. I'll do a post on my perfect cheese plate in the future!

My fiance, Dave, on the left and Brandee to the right with her two best friends and designated decorators and helpers for the day. Thanks Chase and Lorraine!

Dress: Rachel Pally
Shoes: Charlotte Russe...better quality option here but super limited sizes

Welcome to Bright Eyed and Bushy Kaled

2014...where did you go?! I can't believe I am sitting here 1 week from the end of the year. When we started 2014 I had a goal to start a blog. I might be sliding into home, but here we are. I like to think of this as my Christmas gift to myself...jumping off the edge and DOING instead of TALKING about it.

So here it is, welcome to Bright Eyed and Bushy Kaled! (get it?!)  I came up with the name awhile ago, and although cheesy, I love it. Sue me.  My goal is to provide you with fun content filled with my passions of fashion, home, and healthy living. I don't pretend to be an expert on these passions, but I love them none the less and hope you do to! You wouldn't be reading this if you didn't, right?!  I hope everyone enjoys reading this simple blog as much as I have dreamed you would :) Cheers to a "Bright Eyed" 2015 and Merry Christmas to you and yours!

Xoxo,
Brittany
